The new 2017 ICD-10-CM codes for 10/1/2016 are here for you

There are some changes to be aware of starting 10/1/2016

I noted some of the most relevant changes to the ICD-10-CM codes for mental health professionals in a previous post called A step-by-step-guide to vandalizing your DSM-5. There are some relevant changes you’ll want to make a note of. You may want to add some scribbles and doodles into your DSM-5 if you are using that to code with; otherwise make sure whatever software or system you are using gets updated for 10/1/2016.

To see the full list of ICD-10-CM codes for use starting 10/1/2017 head here to the CDC’s website.

Here is a PDF with just Chapter 5 of the ICD-10-CM codes for use starting 10/1/2016; I’ve extracted that for you from the full PDF file from the CDC. It is the chapter that is most relevant to psychologists and other mental health professionals.
