It helps you record and edit audio. The price is also right because it is free. You can host a podcast lots of places but I suggest avoiding the hassles and hosting it with a specialty service like libsyn. They’re not very expensive and it is worth skipping hassles like finding out your hosting provider isn’t compatible with itunes, etc.

I found podcasting enjoyable but I initially stopped recording episodes because of some technical difficulties I had with my audio equipment recording the phone interviews I conducted. Then I just never got started again except for one episode in the following January. So here we are in another January and I’m about to terminate the podcast feed for the old episodes, but they will still be available since I’ve uploaded them to YouTube. Soon the only way you’ll be able to listen to them is via YouTube. You can find links to the podcast episodes on YouTube through the podcast website www.mentalhealthday.org.

The website will also continue to confirm for you that “Today is National Take a Mental Health Day!”

There are 19 total podcasts and here are the titles:

Mental Health Day Podcast 1: Dr. Donald Meichenbaum on Resilience

Mental Health Day Podcast #2: Ivan Learns Progressive Muscle Relaxation

Mental Health Day Podcast #3: Recognizing Concussions

Mental Health Day Podcast #4: Managing ADHD with Russell Barkley, Ph.D.

Mental Health Day Podcast #5: Art Therapy with Cathy Malchiodi

Mental Health Day Podcast #6: Couple Therapy with Dr. Andrew Christensen

Mental Health Day Podcast #7: Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies, Healthy Aging with Dr. Paula Hartman-Stein

Mental Health Day Podcast #8:Procrastination with Dr. Linda Sapadin

Mental Health Day Podcast #9: Depression and Anxiety with David D.
